The two Compton natives have become one of the rap industry's blooming duos and fans can't wait to hear more music from them, especially after Lamar's single "The Recipe" was let loose recently.
In a recent sit-down with DJ Whoo Kid, Lamar revealed that he and Dre have worked on as many as 30 tracks together and that he's even gotten a chance to work with Snoop Dogg, who also started his career under the wing of Dr. Dre. He and Snoop recorded a song for the highly anticipated Detox album.
"We're looking around summertime [to drop his album], pushing around at the end", Lamar said. "I'm in a tight space right now. They're trying to get that motherf-----r out immediately, but I continue to keep on working...I've probably got about 30 records with Dre, bro. For Detox, I locked in with Snoop and Dre...to see the two of them in the studio together, man, it just makes me think about all the old joints that they used to do on The Box and BET, 'cause they've still got that same chemistry where Snoop is the little wild homie and Dre is the mentor."
